Dr. Penny Papageorgopoulou holds a PhD from the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, with a primary research focus on embodied computing. She is a computer scientist with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary study of new media. Her scientific interests include the rapidly evolving relationship between humans and machines in the broader field of human-computer interaction, embodied computing, as well as the design, development, and evaluation of virtual environments. She has teaching experience in academic undergraduate and postgraduate programs. She has participated in European and national research projects and presents artistic work in various forms of digital and traditional art.
